Flora of Borrego Badlands, Sorted By Abundance See Flora of Borrego Badlands for an introduction to this page.
The following histogram gives the number of surveys in which each taxon was found:
As of 7 December 2008, I have conducted three surveys, so the maximum number in the above histogram is 3.
This histogram follows the usual shape, in which only a small number of species are ubiquitous, with most species being found in only a small number of places.
The Checklist sorted in decreasing order of abundance follows. It is sorted first by the number of surveys in which a taxon was found, then by the maximum number of locations, and then by the maximum number of plants.
Remember that all three surveys were done in December, so annuals and perennials are very poorly represented by those surveys. A number of such species might well be observed in all three survey areas in the future.
