The Flora of the PCT: A9c Highway S22 (Barrel Springs) to High Point on PCT Section A9: Family Order Flora See The Flora of the PCT: A9 Highway 78 to Highway S22 (Barrel Springs) for an introduction to this checklist.
This version of the Checklist gives the plant species in the entire section of Trail, from Highway S22 (Barrel Springs) to High Point on PCT, in plant family order, with the Family and Scientific Name from the 2012 Second Edition Jepson Manual.
The following gives some basic information about this checklist.
See:
- Notes on the Scientific Names Used At This Site and
- Information about the links from the Scientific Name and Common Name.
An asterisk before the common name indicates a non-native species.
The ID? column includes a notation for uncertain determinations when present; see abbreviation for the determination uncertainties. It also indicates two species that have been planted at S22.
The column #Trl gives the number of the species in the plant trail order list.
The column #Pls gives the minimum number of plants seen in the surveys that estimated abundances, up to a maximum of 99 plants. If that column contains RT, it was seen only in a survey by RT and Shaun Hawke, when no abundance estimates were made. If that column contains V, it is a vouchered species we have not yet seen on the trail. If that column contains iN, it was a species that came only from an iNaturalist observation.
