Big Tujunga to Gold Canyon, Yerba Buena Ridge

The lower end is a creek bed. The trail itself is in very good condition, having recently been cleared by the USFS and others.

There are some canterbury bells and stinging lupines as well as baby blue eyes. I saw tracks from deer, coyotes, bobcat & bears.

The trail is easy to miss. Look for a dead oak tree leaning out into the creek bed from the south side of the canyon wall and a small flowing streamlet. The trail is on the left less than 500 feet from here. I put a small piece of pink marking tape to mark the start of the trail.
