Participants: Craig Cheetham and Tom Chester
Date: 15 July 1996 (Written up 28 July 1996)Trail to Dawn Mine was difficult, just as Robinson describes it, around stop 2, with many alternate false trails. At the junction with the Dawn Mine Trail, the trail continuing to Tom Sloan Saddle is much more travelled, with the Dawn Mine Trail looking pretty faint. Very quickly, however, the Dawn Mine Trail becomes beautiful all the way to the Mt. Lowe Fire Road. The Dawn Mine Trail still has a lot of alternate paths, but the main trail is always clear.
